Below is list of resources for artists and musicians impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.

Financial assistance of $1,500 and $500 grocery cards are being offered for evac and relocation costs, instrument replacement or repair, home damage, medical care, mental health services, and other living needs. Applicants must show employment history for a minimum of five years of employment in the music industry or six commercially released recordings or videos (singles).

A special one-time grant replacing instruments and gear destroyed by the fires. They will not offer cash – the grant will only replace instruments and/or gear. Proof of loss or address may be required. Programs that are part of 501c3 nonprofit organizations or public schools are also eligible. Requests will be accepted now through Feb. 28, 2025.

If you are a musician who has lost an instrument or gear in the fires, Fender has committed $100,000 in equipment toward helping musicians who have been impacted. They will respond to and help replenish requests as best they can.

Sweet Relief Music Fund

Grants are being offered to those who have received at least 50% of their income from the music industry for at least three years. Applicants must show proof of employment, a biography (or a resume or discography), and documentation of loss and destruction.

MicroGrants are available to replace studio equipment or repair studio equipment due to fire damage. Additional support will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants will be asked to provide a clear explanation of the need for grant funds and how this will support your continued work in the field of audio.

Book a call with a Backline Case Manager and receive 1:1 support to find mental health and wellness resources tailored to your specific needs. After a brief phone call, Case Managers create care plans, and will help connect you with available vetted mental health providers.

Aid to assist with basic living expenses such as health care, housing, and utilities to prevent eviction or shut-offs. Documentation of professional performing arts and entertainment earnings is required. If you lost these items, you are allowed to submit a blank application to get the process started.
